Description
What Are Pallet Straps?
Pallet safety straps are designed to secure palletized goods, preventing load shifts, falls, or accidents during transport, handling, or storage.
Pallet straps are made of 2″ polyester and elastic for long-term use. Teardrop connection to a pallet rack compatible.
| For Bay Size | Weight (lbs.) | Width |
| 48 inches (4 feet) | 0.60 | 2 inches |
| 96 inches (8 feet) | 0.80 | 2 inches |
| 102 inches (8.5 feet) | 0.83 | 2 inches |
| 108 inches (9 feet) | 0.86 | 2 inches |
| 120 inches (10 feet) | 0.90 | 2 inches |
| 144 inches (12 feet) | 1.05 | 2 inches |
| 156 inches (13 feet) | 1.25 | 2 inches |
Is Polyester Enough for 2400 lbs Break Strength?
Yes, polyester is generally sufficient for 2400 lbs burst strength in pallet safety straps, due to its excellent durability, high tensile strength, and resistance to stretching under tension. But for better shock absorption, improved grid and better installation there is elastic in standard pallet strap items. Our pallet strapping kit is appliable with heavy duty pallets. Unlike polypropylene banding, our elastic straps for pallets are reusable.
Pallet Banding vs Pallet Straps for Heavy Duty Pallets
Pallet banding and pallet straps are both used to secure loads on pallets, but they differ in materials, applications, and functionality.
| Feature | Pallet Banding | Pallet Straps |
| Material | Steel, polypropylene (PP), or polyester (PET) | Nylon, polyester, or elastic webbing |
| Strength | High tensile strength, minimal stretch | Moderate strength with slight flexibility |
| Flexibility | Rigid, no flexibility | Flexible, may include elastic components |
| Reusability | Single-use | Reusable, eco-friendly |
| Tools Required | Tensioners, crimpers, or sealers | None; often feature buckles or ratchets |
| Load Sensitivity | Can damage fragile goods due to high tension | Gentler, ideal for sensitive or fragile loads |
| Shock Absorption | None | Absorbs vibrations and load movements |
| Cost | Low initial cost, high recurring expense | Higher initial cost, lower long-term expense |
| Environmental Impact | Generates waste unless recycled | Sustainable and reusable |
| Ease of Use | Time-consuming to apply and remove | Quick and easy to secure or release |
| Typical Applications | Heavy loads like bricks, steel pipes, or lumber | Regularly handled goods, warehouse operations |
| Durability | Resistant to extreme weight | Durable and resistant to environmental wear |
| Adjustment | Fixed once applied | Adjustable for various load sizes |
| Use Cases | Export shipping, industrial applications | Warehousing, logistics, and repeated handling |
Pallet Banding is rigid and typically single-use, designed for securing heavy or immovable loads tightly while pallet straps are flexible and reusable, making them ideal for frequently handled loads or situations requiring adaptability.

FAQ
Can I get any of these and have them work? What if I buy a longer one if I think I am going to get a bigger pallet rack in the future? Can I just use the longer one in my smaller rack for now?
Unfortunately, no. The safety straps below work specifically with the lengths listed. We do not recommend mix-and-matching straps for differing sizes of pallet racks, as this can compromise their effectiveness and safety.
It is important that I measure my racks then?
Correct. You should have accurate measurements so that you get the correct strap length for your pallet rack. Measuring your racks ensures that you order the right size and avoid unnecessary returns or delays in shipping.
I should get the strap that says the specific length of my rack then? I have a 96-inch pallet rack, so I need the 96″ safety strap?
Correct. Getting the right size is crucial to ensure the product works properly for your rack. For example, if your pallet rack is 96 inches, you’ll need the 96″ safety strap to provide a secure fit. To view available options, check the product details for each strap length and find the one that matches your needs.
Where can I order the correct size safety straps?
You can place your order directly from our website, where you can view all the sizes we offer, including 96-inch safety straps and other lengths. We strive to make the process as smooth as possible by providing clear sizing options and quick shipping to get your straps to you fast.
