Mobile pallet racking is a broad term. Most often, it refers to Mobile Aisle Pallet Racks—large systems that move along fixed floor tracks.
But there’s another kind: Caster-Mounted Portable Pallet Racks—single, standalone racks mounted on heavy-duty swivel casters.
These units offer the structure of a standard selective pallet rack, but with unmatched flexibility. They roll freely, with no fixed tracks and minimal installation. Is Rollable Pallet Racking the Right Product for You?

But Consider These Limits:
- You may need a static racking system if your load requirements exceed 4,000 lbs per bay.
- If your floors are uneven, sloped, or not rated for caster use, this product may not be suitable.
- You clearly understand the difference between mobile pallet racking systems that run on fixed tracks and mobile pallet racking with wheels. These are totally different. Portable pallet racks are mounted on casters, not rails, which means you can move them freely in any direction, not just along a predetermined path.
- Using Solid Steel or Bar Grating Decking can significantly increase the weight of each rack unit, and potentially exceed the caster load capacity, which affects safety and maneuverability.
